Obituary of Jenny Ytsma
YTSMA (Bouw), Jenny – To be with the Lord, Jenny passed away peacefully at St. Andrew’s Residence in Chatham on February 28, 2019 at the age of 97. Born in the Netherlands on January 30, 1922. Beloved wife of the late Albert Ytsma (2010) for 67 years. Dear mother of Bonnie (Kees) of Abbotsford B.C., Jerry (Jill) of Chatham and Albert (Sharon) of West Vancouver B.C. Predeceased by her son Andrew, her daughter Nienke and granddaughters Amy and Melissa. Cherished Oma to Bryan C, Jennifer, Matthew, Stephen, Jesse, Mark, Bryan H, David, and Maya. Proud Great-Oma to Jessica, Bryanna, Lauren, Luke, Elise, Max, Andrew, James and Autumn. Survived by sister-in-law Leah Ytsma of Chatham. Predeceased by parents Albert and Baukje Bouw of the Netherlands. Also predeceased by sisters Willy and Mattie and brothers Dirk, Jan and Albert. Jenny emigrated to Canada with her husband from the Netherlands in 1950. She was an active and devoted member of the Canadian Reformed Church. She was a long-time member of the Laudate Dominum Choir. Friends and family willl be recieved at DENNING’S OF CHATHAM (519-352-2390), 4 Victoria Avenue, on Monday, March 4th, 2019 from 4 to 7 o’clock. The Funeral Service will be held at Eben-Ezer Canadian Reformed Church, 483 McNaughton Avenue East, Chatham, on Tuesday, March 5th, 2019 at 12 o’clock. Interment to follow in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jenny’s memory may be made to St. Andrew’s Residence.
