James Gordon Wilcox
1930-2019
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of
James Gordon Wilcox, husband of the late Reta (Bezeau) Wilcox, on
Thursday, February 28, 2019 at the Carleton Kirk Home. Born
in Saint John, NB on April 9, 1930, he was a son of the late James and
Ethel (Perry) Wilcox.
James spent his career working as a longshoreman in both
Saint John and Ontario. When he wasn’t working on
the docks, he could be found working in the woods. He had a
passion for hunting, fishing and anything what involved the
outdoors.
James is survived by his brother-in-law, Donald Spray;
nephews: Sean Whelpley (Tyra), Wayne Spray (Tammy Martin), David Spray
(Sandra), Chris Spray (Michelle), Wes Spray; nieces: Stacey Harding
(David) and Lisa Spray, Dianne Carey (Glen), Margaret Rahn (Jerry),
Lois MacFarland (Barry); along with several great nieces and great
nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was
predeceased by his siblings: Georgina, Sandra, Kenneth and
Ronald.
Arrangements are under the care of
Brenan’s Bay View Funeral
Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John
(634-7425). In keeping with James’ wishes, there
will be no visitation or funeral service.
Donations in James’ memory can be made
to the SPCA – Animal Rescue.
