Kidney, Hugh Reid
Passed away peacefully, on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Freeport Health Centre at the age of 96 years.
Loving husband of the late Marjory Kidnie (2017). Dear father of Mary Ruth MacLean (Bill), Peter Kidnie (Beth, deceased), Margaret Jane Kidnie (James Purkis) and Martha Anne Lunz (John). Survived by his loving grandchildren Amanda Shields (Gordon), Sara MacLean (Marshall Muldoon), Alexander MacLean (Michelle Bernard), Reid (Caroline), Sean and Emma Kidnie, William and George Purkis, Madelyn, Thomas, Connor and Mitchell Lunz, and great grandchildren Estelle and Phoebe Shields, Owen and Kaylan Muldoon. Hugh is also survived by his brother Norman (Joanne) Kidnie, sister-in-law Donna Kidnie and predeceased by three brothers Wilfred, Jack and Kenneth Kidnie.
Friends and relatives are invited to share their memories of Hugh during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, on Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday, March 15 at 11am. Reception to follow in the Fireside Reception Room. Interment in Greenfield Cemetery, Arthur at a later date.
