Peacefully
at the Provincial Palliative Care Unit, Charlottetown, the passing of
Heather Dawn MacNeill (nee Shaw) BEd, age 48 of Murray Harbour, wife
of 17 years and best friend over 27 years to Mark MacNeill, occurred
on March 29, 2019 with her loving family by her side. Born November
13, 1970 in O’Leary, PE, she is the daughter of Eric and Gail (
Bulger) Shaw. Heather is survived by her children, Emma MacNeill and
Isaac MacNeill; brothers, Byron (Donna) Shaw, Kendall (Kate) Shaw,
sister, Alison (Peter) MacDonald; sister-in-law, Cheryl (Wayne) Ford;
mother-in-law Roma MacNeill and grandmother, Marion Shaw. Heather is
survived by several nieces and nephews, Olivia Shaw, Hannah Shaw,
Samson Shaw, Eve Shaw, Angus MacDonald, Clare MacDonald, Megan Ford
and Rebecca Ford. She is loved by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Heather was predeceased by father-in-law Eric MacNeill, grandparents
Reginald Shaw, Willis Bulger and Daria Bulger. Heather was a dedicated
school teacher instructing in various schools and will be missed by
all who came to know and love her.
Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home, with
visiting on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral
Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 3, at 3:00 pm, at St.
Mary’s Catholic Church, Montague. In lieu of flowers, donations to the
Emma and Isaac MacNeill Education Fund would be appreciated by the
family.
