Harry was born and raised in the Hillhurst district in Calgary, AB.
At the age of 17, Harry enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy in 1942, serving as a Radar operator in the North Atlantic on Corvette ships until 1945.
Following the war, in 1948, Harry married the love of his life, Joan Williams, who was the sister of Harry’s best friend, Bob Williams. Together, Harry and Joan lived in Calgary, AB; Edmonton, AB; Burlington, ON; and Kelowna, BC. Harry worked for John Deere Ltd. for 42 y…
