Obituary of Gerry Blanchard
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gerry Blanchard announce his sudden passing at his family residence in Black Duck Siding on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at the age of 70 years. His memory will live on in all those he loved and cherished especially his wife Marilyn; sons: Jason (Sharon), Martin (Melanie); grandchildren: Cameron, Emma, Benjamin and Nicholas; brothers: Wally (Anna), Hughie (Carolyn); sisters: Patsy Butt, Sheila (Robert) Hawkins, Marilyn (Andy) Alexander, Elva (Craig) Delaney, Loretta (Herman) Parsons, Gloria (Mike) Hawboldt as well as many in-laws, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
To honor and respect Gerry’s wishes cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium, Pasadena, NL.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, March 3, 2019between the hours of 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 37 West Street, Stephenville Crossing, NL. The Funeral Mass will take place at Assumption Parish, Stephenville Crossing, NL on Monday, March 4, 2019 at 10 a.m. with Father Edmund Dantes officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Salvation Army. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL
