Frank went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Monday, March 25, 2019 at the age of 68. Beloved husband and dearest friend of Harriett Draaistra. Dear father of Dale (Robyn) and Dana Banks (Daryl). Proud poppa of Grace Frankie Irene Banks. Brother of Ann DeRoos, Hinke (Gert) and Mike (Clara). Dear brother-in-law of Ralph Hobe (Corrie), Tinie VanYken (Andy), Cornelius Hobe (Gloria), Dianne Baarda (Dan), Margaret Richards (Jim), Marian Szelekovszky and Henk Postma (Susie). He will also be missed by many nephews and nieces. Frank was a member of the Christian Reformed Church in Brantford for many years and loved his church, serving in many capacities throughout the years. He was an electrician in Brantford for most of his career and last worked at RBT Electric. One of his greatest enjoyments was meeting people in the community and listening to their life and work experiences. He was a committed family man who loved above all to spend time with his wife and children and was always proud of their accomplishments. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Special thanks to the Juravinski care team, especially Dr. Fraser and Tracy Allan, Gordana and Jessie from the C4 clinic, and Chris and Barb in the chemo lab. Sincere thanks to Dr. McNeil and the community palliative team, and Joan Russell of Gunthrie and Associates. We especially thank family, neighbours and friends, our pastors and our Hope Christian Reformed Church family for their loving prayers and support throughout this difficult journey. Family and friends will be received at the McCLEISTER FUNERAL HOME, 495 Park Road North, Brantford on Friday, March 29, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Memorial service at Hope Christian Reformed Church, 64 Buchanan Crescent, Brantford on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. A private family interment will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to CRCNA World Renew Fund, Stedman Community Hospice or Juravinski Hospital would be gratefully appreciated.
