Brady, Evelyn
It is with great sadness that her family announces the passing of their beloved matriarch Evelyn Brady on March 26, 2019 at Finlandia Nursing Home, Minnow Lake. Evelyn was born Evelyn Mary Margaret Spencer on February 4, 1921 in Coniston to Fred and Mary Anne (Grimard) Spencer. She married Francis Joseph Brady on October 25, 1937 who preceded her in death in 1994. Evelyn, (Ev) was an incredible servant for her Lord and an active member of Holy Redeemer Church in Minnow Lake. She received her 70 year pin with the Catholic Women’s League as she volunteered on innumerable occasions for her church and community. Many friends will remember Ev from her work at Canada Post and as School Crossing guard on Bancroft Dr. and also her work for Elections Canada. Ev loved her family and said her greatest victory was “raising her 10 children!”. Ev loved watching many sports especially golf and the Blue Jays with her son Dwight. Evelyn was preceded in death by her sisters Jeanette and Audrey and her brothers Aldege, Rolly, Andy, Leonard, Ronnie and Harry and her son Robert and her son-in-law Larry. Evelyn is survived by her brothers Bob (Anna), Wilbert (Eileen), Roger (Pauline) and Lionel (Jeanine) and her children Ted (Murielle), John Gregory (Marie), Dwight (Diana), Sharon (Norm), Brenda (Ken), Peggy, Pat (Doreen), Mike (Michelle), Terry (Mike) and daughters-in-law Joanne and Donna. Evelyn was such a proud Grandmother to 28 grandchildren and one predeceased, 45 great grandchildren and one predeceased, and 7 great great grandchildren.

Cremation with interment in the family plot at the Civic Memorial Cemetery.
