Elizabeth Stubbert McNeil 2019

Elizabeth Mae McNeil, 84
Bras d’Or
It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mom, Elizabeth (Stubbert) McNeil, at home, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family on Saturday, March 16, 2019.
Elizabeth was a hardworking, loving, and beautiful woman who devoted her life to her husband, children and grandchildren. She began her working life at the Royal Bank in Sydney Mines. From there she went on to work at the McNeil Family Store in Alder Point where she was able to both work and raise her children. She finished her working career at the Irving in North Sydney. Her retirement years, were by far, her favourite, because it gave her more time to spend with her grandchildren who she so adored. Her caring nature and compassion shone brightly and will live on in her children and grandchildren.
Elizabeth is survived by her sons Kevin (Brenda) and Bobby (Debbie); daughters Corinne (Bobby) Foster, Marie (Reg) Roland and Brenda (Jody) Lavery; grandchildren Jason, Kyle, Erin, Tyler, Ashley, Daniel, Natasha, Melissa, Sarah and Emma; great-grandchildren Kaden, Leah and Sawyer. She is also survived by brothers John (Carol) Stubbert, Louis (Barbara) Stubbert and Clifford Stubbert; sisters Cavell Young and Sarah Roberts; sisters-in-law Florence McNeil, and Arthena Stubbert and many nieces and nephews. Elizabeth will also be missed by special friends Ann O’Neil, Isabelle MacNeil and Ollie Fraser.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband of 62 years and the love of her life, David McNeil; her parents Henry and Selena (Young) Stubbert; siblings, Jim, Margaret, Bernadette, Selena, Michael, sister-in-law Carol Stubbert, brother-in-law Michael Young and special friend Trudy Young.
