Donald H.
MacKay, 74, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Dr. Georges-L.
Dumont University Hospital Center on Tuesday, March 26, 2019. Born in
Moncton, he was the son of the late William and Ethel (MacPherson)
MacKay.
Donald was
employed with Eastern Bakeries on Botsford Street, retiring in 1989
with over 30 years of service. He enjoyed slow pitch softball and
hockey, fishing and was a fan of the Moncton
Wildcats.
Donald will
be sadly missed by his daughter, Susan McKay of Moncton and sons,
Donald MacKay Jr. of Sackville and Jeff MacKay of Moncton; three
sisters, Ella MacKay, Bertha Jones and Margaret
MacKay.
In addition
to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Myrna M. (Hicks)
MacKay (September 2015), as well as his sisters, Frances and Dorothy
and brothers, Wilfred, Kenny, Robert and
Leonard.
A Service to
celebrate and honour Donald’s life will be held from
Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995)
on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Charles Broderick
presiding.
In memory of
Donald, donations to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or the
Kidney Foundation would be appreciated. Online condolences for the
