1943-2019
RICHIBOUCTOU-VILLAGE, NB – Donald E. Richard 76, of
Richibouctou-Village passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris
Hospital, Ste-Anne-de-Kent on Thursday, March 14, 2019 after a brief
illness. Born in Richibouctou-Village, he was the son of the
late Ernest Richard and Sylvie (Allain) Richard. Donald
worked as a truck driver most of his life for his father’s
business and the last few years for Ste. Anne Paving where he retired
in the fall of 2017. He was known as a hard
worker.
Donald will be sadly missed by his two brothers and three
sisters, Joseph (Jeanne) of Providence, Rhode Island,
Aurèle (Connie) of Richibouctou-Village, Huberte Maillet
(Alvin) of Richibucto, Rose-Marie Richard (Clarence) of
Richibouctou-Village and Muriel (Roger Vienneau) of Grand Barchois. He
will also be sadly missed by his girlfriend Cécilia Bourque
and step-son Michel Cormier (Chantal); three grandchildren, Monica,
Mirelle and Anna-Lee. also by an aunt, an uncle, nieces, nephews and
cousins.
He was predeceased by his father Ernest (1982), his mother
Sylvie (2006) and a step-son Marcel Cormier
(1993).
Visitation will be held on Friday at 2:00 pm until time of
the funeral at the St. Antoine de Padoue Roman Catholic Church Slumber
Room, Richibouctou-Village. A Funeral Mass will be held on
Friday, March 22, 2019 at 4:00 pm, St. Antoine de Padoue Roman
Catholic Church, Richibouctou-Village. Donations in
Donald’s memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or
St. Antoine de Padoue Roman Catholic Church. Arrangements
are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto
(523-4252).
