At home on Monday, March 4, 2019 in his 69th year, David Dix, beloved husband of Judy Dix (nee Burton). Loving father of Jeff (Kristi) Dix. Much loved grandfather of Emily. Dear brother of Gary (Barb), Garth (Gisele), Grant (JoAnne) Dix and brother-in-law of Joan (John) Hexamer, Catherine (Herb) Klaehn. Lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews and their families. David was a retired teacher and coach with the Grand Erie District School Board, teaching at Centennial, Central and Russell Reid Coronation schools. He was an avid golfer at Northridge Golf Club and a curler at the Brant Curling Club. David signed with the Detroit Tigers. He was a player and coach of the Brantford Red Sox; was formally recognized as one of the 100 greatest players of the Inter County Baseball League. David was a former President of the Brantford Air Force Club and an Alumni member of Wilfrid Laurier. Cremation has taken place. Funeral details will be announced at a later date.
