Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Toronto General Hospital…in his 64th year.
Born in London, Ontario, David was the first born son of Gordon and Viola Bain, brother of Tricia Bain/Stoneman, married to Mike Stoneman, and Douglas Alexander Bain, Richmond Hill, Ontario. David was uncle to Shawna Lipton (Rhodes) and Rose Lipton. David was the father of Michael Bain, married to Nikita Bain, and Jenny Wilson (deceased), who was married to Mike Wilson. He was the proud grandfather of Alexis Bain, Noah Bain, Annaleigh Bain (Michael Bains children) and Nathniel Wilson, Abigail Wilson (Jenny Wilson nie Bains children)
David’s life was dedicated to studying, writing and the advancement of psychoanalytical theory. Freud and his life work was often the inspiration for David’s well regarded essays.
Memorial service will be held at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket, on Friday March 22, 2019 at 3 p.m. Private interment will follow later in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ontario.
