Obituary of Daisy Wilson
Daisy May Wilson, 86 of Hantsport, passed away February 27, 2019 in the Hants Community Hospital. Born in St. John, NB, she was the daughter of the late William and Zillah (Parr) Ackroyd.
It is with great sadness to announce the passing of the most wonderful lady, our mom, Daisy May Wilson has earned her wings and is now watching over us from Heaven. This beautiful lady was the dream mother of more than just her immediate family. She would knit or crochet baby outfits, bonnets, sweaters, booties and mittens for all the premature babies in the IWK Children’s Hospital. However, being an avid bowler was her favorite hobby.
Her career was working at the Windsor Textiles and then on to spent the next 32 years working at CKF.
Daisy is survived by her loving husband Kenneth “Ken” Wilson; children Rosemary (Corrie), David (Glenda), Tom (Sherri), Charles (Marilyn) and Janice (Ray); grandchildren Tia (Bobby), Derrick, Charles, Ethan, Edwin, Sophia and Stanley (Tania); great-grandchildren Brooklyn, Owen, Taneka and Chris; great great-grandchildren Ilian, Carder, Emma and Athena; sister Barb; brother Roger (Sharon) and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Daisy was predeceased by bothers Byron, George, Bill, Gerald, Gary and Charles; sisters Frances, Eva and Shirley.
A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at 11:00 am in Mapelwood Cemetery, Windsor. Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army or IWK Children’s Hospital. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Wolfville Funeral Chapel, 568 Main Street, Wolfville, B4P 1E5 (902-542-4656).
