1929-2019
Wheatley River, PE – Cleophas
‘Cléo’ Rioux, 89, passed away
peacefully while in respite at Beach Grove Home in Charlottetown, on
March 21, 2019. Born in Bathurst, NB, he was the son of the late
Napoléon and Rebecca (Haché)
Rioux.
Survived by his daughter, Rebecca
Rioux, Wheatley River; his sister, Thèrèse
Parker of Bathurst, NB; his two brothers, Napoléon (Zita)
Rioux of Moncton, NB; and Roland (Connie) Rioux of Fredericton, NB;
Evelyn Vessey, Charlottetown PE; Patrick Clark, Fredericton,
NB; also by numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was
predeceased by his sisters Annette, Agnes, Yvonne, Pauline, and
Elzire; and his brothers Johnny, Aurel, Richard and Paul. Heartfelt
thanks to his primary caregivers Cindy, Claudette and Susan,
for their tireless support and care. Special thanks to all the staff
at Brecken House Adult Day Program, Beach Grove Home and the P.E.I.
Palliative Care Program.
In accordance with his wishes,
there will be no visitation or funeral service. His legacy
will live on through every brick he laid and every act of kindness he
performed.
In lieu of flowers, and condolence
cards; donations can be made to any one of the following
organizations: the Alzheimer’s Society, ALS (Amyotrophic
Lateral Sclerosis) Society of Canada, Canadian Cancer Society, or the
Heart & Stroke Foundation.
