It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of a wonderful husband and father, peacefully surrounded by his family at Pine Villa Nursing Home on Friday March 29, 2019 in his 94th year. Beloved husband of the late Maria (Mendola), and loving father of the late Salvina and the late John. Predeceased by his parents Gianni and Salvina Traina, by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Liborio and Maria Mendola, and by his niece Flavia. Also predeceased by many brothers and sisters-in-law and a sister and brother-in-law. Survived his sister-in-law Maria and by many brothers and sisters-in-law. Will be sadly missed by Claudia, Marlon, Marcello, Vanessa and also by his numerous other nieces and nephews. The Da Silva family would like to thank Dr. Robert Ambis,
the nurses and PSW’s at Pine Villa for the love and carer given to our uncle. Visitation at the FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near James Street) on Tuesday April 2, 2019 from 5 – 9 p.m., with Vigil Prayers at 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Anthony’s Church on Wednesday April 3, 2019 at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow at Holy Souls Mausoleum, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
