Carman Floyd Gibson March 7th 2019

Born December 5, 1934 in Bangor, Saskatchewan, Carman passed away peacefully on March 7, 2019 in Vernon, BC to “Go To The Heavens” to be with his wife Anna. He was predeceased by his wife Anna, parents Gerald and Mary, brother Royce, and sisters Francis, Verna and Vivien. He will be forever loved and missed by his family and friends. Cherishing his memory are his sons Greg (Lisa), Darryl (Colleen), daughters Rhonda (Terry) and Sandie (Blair). He is further survived by his grandchildren Mike, Curtis, Richard, Emily, Connor, Bayise, and great grandchildren Jordan, Brooklynn, Liberty, Madison, Lexington, and Kennedy. Carman was an active member for over 25 years of the Men’s Auxiliary F.O.E. #3557. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed the simpler things in life. He didn’t like missing the news and always enjoyed his crosswords and puzzles in the morning. During his 30 + year working career with the BC Government he retired as surveyor. He started out as a draftsman but realized he enjoyed being outside more. A Celebration of Carman’s Life will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 30, 2019 at THE LANDING – Okanagan Landing Community Church: 5871 Okanagan Landing Road, Vernon, BC. Those wishing to do so may make a memorial donation in Carman’s name to: North Okanagan Hospice Society (3506 – 27 Avenue, Vernon, BC V1T 1S4) or online nohs.ca/how-can-i-help/donations.
