Bruce Rycroft
Bruce Rycroft, resident of Grande Prairie, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2019, at Prairie Lakes Seniors Community, at the age of 91 years, surrounded by his family and caregivers.
Bruce was born January 7, 1928 to Robert and Helen Rycroft. He was the 10th of 11 children and was the last surviving member of his family.
His interests were golfing, river boating, harness racing, volunteering at the Pioneer Museum (teaching young people how to make rope), and sitting in his recliner, watching TV with his cat Fluffy sitting on his lap.
Bruce will be missed by his wife of 66 years, Evelyn. He is survived by his three children: David (Sandy Halberg), Ed (Deb), and Connie (Rene Bouchard). Bruce was Grandpa to eight grandchildren: Jeff, Mitchell, Cordell, Lee, Lindsay, Blake, Nick and Molly; and Great-Grandpa to Jade, David, Claire, Chelsea, Falyn, and Greyson.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2019, at 1:00pm, at Clarkson Hall (Evergreen Park) near Grande Prairie.
Memorial donations may be made to Bandaged Paws Animal Rescue (9920 91 Ave., Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 0G3).
