Obituary of Beverly Annabelle Street
Beverly Annabelle Street, age 71, of Regina, SK, formerly of Rocanville, SK, died peacefully in her sleep on March 15, 2019 at the Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care Ward. She was born in Whitewood, SK, to the late John Maki and Martha (Perasalo) Maki in 1947. A loving mother and homemaker, Beverly was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends, most especially over the holidays. She always expressed herself through the immaculate home she kept. Her green thumb was evident through her many house plants and expansive gardens. There was always more than enough vegetables for the family and extras were passed on to many others in town. An avid bird watcher, she would spend much of her free time observing, feeding and documenting the various birds that appeared around the farm. Beverly was predeceased by her parents; her two sisters, Berva Sheppard and Kathy Coghill and her brother, Dennis. She leaves to mourn: her husband, William Street; her sons Greg (Corrie Kehler), and Travis (Crystal); three grandchildren, Evan Street-Owens, Senja Street and Joseph Street; her brothers and sisters, Allan Maki (Sandra Kelly), Marlene Stevenson, Harold Maki and Vincent Maki (Angie Mercer), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Beverly’s Life will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2019 in the basement hall at St. John’s Lutheran Church, New Finland, SK, following the regular Sunday Service. An invitation with exact details will be posted prior to the celebration.
