85, of Queensland, passed away on Saturday March 16, 2019 in Northwood Care, Halifax. Born in Brass Corner to the late Dennis and Dorothy (Barkhouse) Moore. Arthur went to work for Bowater Mersey in 1954 working his way from Scaler to General Logging Superintendent, he retired after 40 years. Arthur enjoyed hunting, softball and bowling. After retiring he got into Harness Racing and had a few good horses from Fern Hill Hailee, Lone Wolf, his biggest thrill was winning the Dairy Queen with Miss Courtney Lynn. Arthur is survived by his wife, Bonnie; son, Arthur (Elaine) Moore; daughters, Sylvia (Doug) Potter; Terr (Lutz) Kottwitz; step-children, Mark Seaboyer; Kirk (Marjorie) Seaboyer; Cindy (Andy) Balch; 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; brothers, Douglas (Karen) Moore, Llewellyn (Patricia) Moore; sisters, Francis Wentzell; Florence Wentzell; Ethel (Merrill) Wentzell; Ellen (Calvin) Wentzell; Marie (Jacques) Perron; Irene (Carter) Mader; Ardyth (Henk) Bos and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother, George Moore; sisters, Helen Rennie, Hazel Zwicker, Margaret Mansfield and Annie Wood. The family will receive visitors 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 20th and Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, March 21st both in the Ronald A.
