Passed peacefully away in her home on Sunday, March 17,2019 in her 103rd year. Predeceased by her husband of 71 years, Al. Leaving to mourn her three children Annette Felix, Dr. Al Felix (Anne Lawton Felix) and Cecile Aylett and her seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Her loving memory and laughter will forever live in their hearts. Born in St. John’s in 1916 where Alice and Al raised their children they lived for a time in the West Indies, Montreal and Florida before finally returning to their beloved Newfoundland. Her life was filled with family activities, pursuing her business interests, many volunteer activities and developing her considerable artistic interests. A devout Catholic, Alice was an original parishioner at St Pius Tenth Church. Her strong faith provided great comfort to her throughout her life. Special thank you to caregivers, personal care attendants and to Dr. Heather Woodland for their kind support and loving attention. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, Lemarchant Road on Wednesday from 2 p.m.- 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.- 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, March 22, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Pius Tenth Church. Inurnment to follow at Belvedere Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Gathering Place.
