BOWER, Richard
February 25, 1960 – February 27, 2019
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Richard Bower in Nelson, BC on February 27, 2019 at the age of 59. Richard was born is Worksop, UK on February 25, 1960. At the age of 8, Richard and his family moved to Lake Louise, Alberta and shortly after to Calgary, Alberta. Richard eventually settled in Nelson, BC where he has resided for many years. Richard will be remembered for his sense of humor, devotion to animals, and his adoration for his grandchildren.
Richard was predeceased by his mother Isobel. He is survived by his father Robin, Sisters Sue and Krista (Keith); as well as nieces Amanda and Erin, and nephews Sean and Kyle. Richard is also survived by the love of his life, Joyce and their sons Brent (Kristi) and Brian (Danielle), and daughter Jolene (Darrel). Also by his grandchildren Dante, Kaydence, Roxy and Ashton.
A funeral service will be held at the Balfour Covenant Church of Wednesday March 6, 2019 at 2:00pm.
As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made in honor of Richard to the Kootenay Animal Assistance Program Society (KAAP).
