It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Maria Barbieri. Maria passed peacefully at Weston Terrace Community Care surrounded by her family on February 16, 2019 at the age of 83. Our sincere gratitude to the staff of Weston Terrace, although her stay was short, the tremendous care is appreciated. She will be rejoined with her devoted husband Gregorio and cherished son Joe (Mary) who have both passed. She will be missed by her beloved children Jackie, Domenic (Julie), Paul (Mary), Mary (Tony Totera) and Lisa (Daniel Voce). Treasured sister to Concetta and sister-in-law to Rosa. She will be missed terribly by her grandchildren; Valentina, Mario, Rose, Teresa, Matteo, Christina, Nicole, Joseph, Jordan, Celeste And Romina whom she loved so dearly.
Family and friends are welcome to Bernardo Funeral Home at 2960 Dufferin Street, on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 811 Lawrence Ave. (Dufferin and Lawrence) on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Alzheimer’s Society, if desired, would be appreciated.
