Obituary for
David “Dave” Baldwin
BALDWIN, David R.
It is with great sadness that the family announces his passing after a courageous battle with cancer at the Maison McCulloch Hospice in Sudbury on Saturday, March 16th, 2019 at the age of 70 years. Son of the late Percy and late Mabel (née Collins) Baldwin. Lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Rose (née Griffin) Baldwin. Loving father of Nancy Villano (Mike) and Kyle Baldwin (Cathy). Dear brother of Fred (Francis), Robert (Ruby), Bill (Maggie), Flora (John) and Sharon. Predeceased by his siblings Lyle, Marion, Duncan and Rose. Proud and loving Poppy to his three amazing grandsons, Max, Ben and Lukas. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Dave was a family man who loved life and enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing. He particularly enjoyed spending winters in Florida with his extended Boca Ciega family and summers at Flat Rapids, French River.
He was a dedicated grandfather and occasional partner in crime to his 3 grandsons whom he taught the importance of hard work and strong family values. He will be forever missed but never forgotten.
The family would like to thank everyone at the Maison McCulloch Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
In keeping with David’s wishes, there will be no visitation instead, a celebration of life will be held at a later date in the spring. Final care arrangements entrusted to the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME. Donations can be made by cheque or online to the Maison McCulloch Hospice. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
