1930-2019
With her loving family by her side, Barbara DeMerchant of Fredericton,
NB, passed away peacefully at the York Care Centre on Sunday, March
17th, 2019.
Barb was born in South Tilley, NB, on March 2nd, 1930. She was the
daughter of Thomas and Muriel (Brooks) Walker. Barb leaves behind her
son, Douglas (Claudette) of Wheaton, Illinois; her daughter Diane
Fenerty (Shawn) of Douglas, NB; her son, Ross (Shirley) of
Indianapolis, Indiana; her son Mark (Sharon) of Perth-Andover, NB; her
son, Paul (Nancy) of Napanee, Ontario; 15 grandchildren and 16
great-grandchildren; her sister, Dorothy Crabbe of Fredericton, NB and
many nieces and nephews.
Barb was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Bernard DeMerchant;
her sister, Alice Howe; and her brother Edgar Walker.
Respecting Barb’s wishes, there will be no visitation held. A
celebration of life will be held at Journey Wesleyan Church in
Fredericton, NB on April 13th, at 2pm. Private family burial will be
held in Larlee Creek Cemetery in Perth-Andover, NB.
For those who wish, memorial donations to the York Care Foundation
would be greatly appreciated by the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover, NB.
