Weldon Charles Brown November 9 1931 to March 14 2019

Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home on March 14th, 2019 in his 87th year. Predeceased by parents Mose and Elsie Brown; sisters, Joan Brown and Florence Moss (Bob); brother, Eric (Floss) and daughter-in-law Susan Brown. Leaving to mourn devoted wife of 60 years, Joan (Bartlett); daughters: Karen and Gail (Darlene); son, Paul (Michelle); grandchildren: Alexander, Jennifer, Mark (Maggie) and Kristin; greatgrandchildren: Clara and Amy; brother Jim (Dulcie – deceased) with whom he spent many a happy time over the years; as well as many nieces, nephews and long time friends. Weldon was a member of St. John’s Masonic Lodge and the Mazol Shriners, especially the Key Stone Cops. A very special thank you to the caring staff of 4th Floor at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home who over the past five years have become our extended family. The care, love and support they provided was exceptional. Thanks to Frank, his room mate, for his companionship and sense of humor. Cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving visitors at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, March 16th and from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, March 17th. Funeral service will take place on Monday, March 18th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Augustine’s Anglican Church, Westerland Road. Interment to follow in the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. Flowers gratefully declined, donations in his memory maybe made to St. Patrick’s Mercy Home or to a charity of one’s choice. To send a message of condolence, please visit www.carnells.com.
