MacLennan, Carole
After a courageous fight with cancer Carole passed away peacefully surrounded by family, at the Carleton Place Hospital, at the age of 55.
Left to mourn her passing are her children Candice (Jay), Christian, Caitlin (Chris) and their father Laurence. Cherished grandmother of Jacob & Jayden. Beloved daughter of Suzanne and the late Neil MacLennan. Dear sister of Eric (Renee) and Christine (Greg). Affectionate aunt to Camille, Alyn, Justin & Sarah.
Carole spent her earlier working years in the Alberta Rockies, enjoying her time with friends and the mountain air, before returning to Ontario to lovingly and proudly raise her family. Her colleagues at OC Transpo, where she worked for many years in Public Transit Information, fondly remember her as the all-route-knowing guru and a caring, sympathetic co-worker. She will be sorely missed by the many friends and acquaintances who were blessed to have met her.
Her passions included drawing, crafts, music, gardening and a deep love for animals and nature. If she was not curled up with a favorite book and her beloved dogs and cats, you would surely find her outdoors tending to her garden, or lovingly taking her grandchildren for a discovery walk in the local trails.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
Friends may visit with the family at the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Ave., Carleton Place, on Saturday, February 9, 2019, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
