Raymond A.
Roy, 83, husband of Victoria “Vicki” (Christie) Roy, of
Petit-Rocher, passed away Monday, March 11th,
2019 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital,
Bathurst.
Born in
Bathurst he was the son of the late Alphée and
Thérèse (Boudreau) Roy.
Besides his
loving wife of 62 years, he is survived by two daughters:
Thérèse (Roy) Landry of Gatineau, QC and Johanne
(Rémi) Roy of Petit-Rocher.
Five
grandchildren: Serge, Gisèle, Christine, Robert and
Karine. He was Papa Bear to eight great-grandchildren:
Claudette, Hannah Rose, Ariel, Victor, Rodrigo, Samuel,
Émilie and Simon.
One sister
Mary (John) Neeleman of Nigadoo and one brother Roger of
Dunlop.
Two
Goddaughters: Sonia Roy and Caroline
Lefort.
Many nieces
and nephews.
He was
predeceased by one sister, Stella, one brother Gerald and a
great-grandson Gabriel.
The family
wishes to thank Dr. M-A Doucet and his team, the Extra Mural Program
and the staff of the Palliative Care Unit of the Chaleur Regional
Hospital for the care given to Raymond.
There will be
no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral mass will be
celebrated Thursday, March, 14, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. from Elhatton
Funeral Home Chapel (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
Donations in
memory of Raymond may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a
charity of the donor’s choice.
