Antoinette Ann Johanna Smits March 5 2019

Smits, Antoinette Johanna Henriette (Ann) (1952 – 2019) – The family is saddened to announce the passing of “Mama Vila” after a courageous battle with cancer.
Predeceased by her parents Maria (VanHam) and Derk Smits. Beloved mother of Scott, Darren, Amanda and Katherine (Jean Larocque). Cherished grandmother to William, Brooke, Kyle, Cassidy, Jane, Samantha, Trenton, Mya and Ryan. Proud great grandmother to Snow. Antoinette was a loving sister to Rudy (Kathy), Kenny (Sue), Peter (Barbara), John-Paul (Ina) and Bob (Late Betty). She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Ann was a strong independent woman with many talents and had a passion for baking/cooking, construction, art, puzzles and tending to her beautiful garden. Being surrounded by friends and family was always a guaranteed good time. Antoinette held many positions in her working career including PSW, graphic design and cake decorator but it was the raising of her four children as a single mother that gave her the courage to tackle any obstacles head on. She would do anything for them.
The family are receiving friends for a visitation at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Rd., on Friday March 8th from 6 pm until 8 pm. A celebration of her life will follow at 8 pm.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the friends, family, medical services and Dr. Galema for all the love and support in the last few months.
Donations to Pet Save or All Heart Pet Rescue (cheques only) would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Antoinette Ann Johanna Smits March 5 2019..
