RICHARD, Yvette – The death of Yvette
Richard, loving spouse of Raymond Richard, occurred on Tuesday,
February 19, 2019 in Saulnierville, NS. Born April 12, 1950
in Dalhousie, NB, she was the daughter of the late Evangeline LeBlanc
(McIntyre) and Mathieu McIntyre. Besides her loving husband
she is survived by 3 brothers, Thomas (Rosaline)McIntyre,
Richiboucto-Village; Lucien (Magella) McIntyre, Iles de la Madeleine;
Leopaul McIntyre, Campbellton; 3 sisters, Alice Morin
(Maurice LeClair), Dalhousie; Rita (Marty) Villeneuve, Cantley, QC;
Henriette McIntyre, Gatineau, QC ; 1 half-sister,
Thérèse
McIntyre (Fabien Cloutier), Gatineau, QC; stepbrother: Joseph
(Marilyn) McIntyre, Grand Praire, AB; special niece, Julie (Randy)
Carroll and daughters Sarah and Britney, Rothesay; several cousins,
nieces, nephews, and friends. Besides her parents she was
predeceased by sister, Hélène Bernard, Eel River
Crossing, NB; stepfather Alonzo McIntyre; adoptive parents from the
age of 6 to 14 years, Matante Cecile (Celia) and Honoré
Poirier, Balmoral. Yvette made her career as a personal care
worker at ‘La Maison au Coucher du Soleil’ caring
for long term residents as they were her own family. She was
a member of l’Association Madeleine LeBlanc as well as a
member of the Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She made many
‘dinner à
larapure’, helped organize and
supply penny sales with knitted items, knit countless baby hats for
the IWK, mittens for Juniper House , and had card night on a regular
basis with her friends. She loved jeopardy, board games, crafting,
making quilts and cooking. Yvette loved her family and friends and she
will be sadly missed by all. Visitation will be held Friday,
February 22, from 7-9pm in Meteghan Funeral Home, Meteghan.
Visitation will also be held Tuesday, February 26, from 10-12pm
& 2-4pm, followed by Funeral at 4pm, all in St.
Antoine de Padoue Church, Richibucto Village.
