WD Bill Scott March 22 1932 February 17 2019

SCOTT, W.D. “Bill” … A long and happy life came to a close on Sunday, February 17th, 2019 when W.D. “Bill” Scott died one month short of his 87th birthday at Campbellford Memorial Hospital. He was deeply loved by his wife of 65 years, Shirley (nee West). Cherished father of Deborah Westlake (Jim) of Oakville and Marg Heffernan (Mike) of Norwood. Papa of Meaghan Wynes (Ben) and Melody Heffernan (Dan) and Grandpa Billy to Rachelle Westlake Oke (Rory), Scott Westlake (Brittany), Nicole Westlake… Read More » (Paul) and Greg Westlake (Catherine). Great-grandpa to Jackson, Evelyn, Leo, Luke, Celeste and Grayson.
Bill lived in Campbellford his entire life and, except for the last year, on the same street. From 1961-1988 he was the proud business owner of Valley View Transport, a company started by his late father, W.F.Scott and his late mother, Lillian, and himself. He felt the spirit and support of his town, had many stories to share about its history, knew the location of every farm in the area, and understood the true meaning of community. He will be missed.
Friends may call at WEAVER – Campbellford on Friday, February 22nd from 7-9 pm. Service will be held at WEAVER – Campbellford on Saturday, February 23rd, at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. John’s United Church, Campbellford. Online condolences at www.weaverfuneralhomes.com
