MR. WAYNE GERALD McLAREN
of Sundridge
Tragically and unexpectedly on Thursday January 31, 2019 at the age of 72.
Wayne McLaren, beloved husband of 47 years of Sandy McLaren (nee Bergquist).
Dear dad of Christy Flynn-Sollman (Jamey Sollman), Scott McLaren (Tina), Jamie McLaren (Jen McCarthy) and Randy McLaren (Krista).
Proud Grandpa Wayne of Dillon, Aidan, Abby, Dryden, Daria, Danae, Lauren, Declan, Leah, Colin, Izak, Connor and Kara.
Cherished brother of Ken (late Joanne), Archie (Margaret), Keith (Betty) and brother-in-law of Bob Bergquist (Lyn).
Predeceased by grandson Kyle, brothers: Vernon, Alvin (late Edythe), Wilbert (Janice) and sisters: Ida Erven (late Bill), Ethel Colvin (late Harold), Irma Adams (late Chester), Helen Stickland (late Stan) and Evelyn McLaren.
Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home – Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge on Sunday February 3, 2019 from 5-8 P.M. and on Monday February 4, 2019 from 11 A.M. – 1 P.M.
A celebration of Wayne’s life will follow in the chapel on Monday February 4, 2019 at 1:00 P.M.
If desired, memorial donations to Sick Kids Hospital, Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
