VITTORIA BOTTOS (NEE TURCHET)
It is with great sadness that we are announcing the passing of Vittoria Bottos on February 9, 2019 during her 99th year. Vittoria was born in Cimpello (Fiume Vento) on December 1, 1919. It was also in Cimpello where she later met and married Antonio, her beloved husband of 69 years. Vittoria is predeceased by Antonio and eight brothers and sisters.
Vittoria leaves behind her daughters Egle (Jim) and Ilene (Mario). She was especially proud of her two grandsons Zachary and Harrison. She was very happy to see so many family and friends at her 99th birthday celebration last December.
Vittoria and Antonio emigrated from Italy in 1950 and settled in Toronto. They lived and raised a family in Downsview before moving to Villa Giardino in their later, retirement years. Her family was always her first priority and she worked tirelessly to maintain a happy home.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff and her friends at Sherwood Court LTC in Maple who looked after her for the last three years. Even though life had become more difficult, she still enjoyed her time at Sherwood.
Vittoria will be sadly missed by all her family here and in Italy.
Visitation will be held at Ward Funeral Home at 4671 Highway 7 in Woodbridge from 7-9 pm on Thursday, February 14. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at Ward Funeral Home followed by Entombment at Beechwood Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with Antonio.
