Violet Jean Roberts

It is with great sadness that the family of late Violet Roberts announce her passing at the age of 79 years on February 3, 2019 at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital. She will be sadly missed by her children: Paula (Brian) Ontario, Todd (Debby) Stephenville, Debbie (Paul) Stephenville, Theresa (Ken) Yarmouth, Perry (Christina) Ontario, Stepson Vaughn (Lynn) St. John’s, 10 grandchildren: Crystal (Corey), Brian (Jamie), Ashley (James), Amber, Brandon, Brady, Myaa, Matthew, Sarah, Nicholas, 6 great grandchildren, sisters Alma (Sandy), Lucy, June (Ken), Viola (Wilson), Judy (David), Geraldine (Fred), brothers, Garfield, Jack (Marie), Adrian (Annie), large circle of nieces and nephews, special friend Jim Hynes. She was predeceased by her husband Lester Roberts, parents Effie and Percey Shephard, Brother Henry Shephard and sister May Snow. Visitation will take place at Russell’s Funeral Home on February 5th, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will take place on Wednesday, February 6th, 2019 at 2 p.m. at the Zion Pentecostal Church with interment to follow at Hillside Interfaith Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation. Special thanks to Dr. I. Hibashi and the staff of Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital for the care and compassion given to our Mom.
