Veronica Irene Roach nee Ferguson ‘Vera’ 2019

Passed peacefully with her family by her side at Georgian Manor in Penetanguishene on Saturday February 16, 2019 in her 93rd year. Veronica, predeceased by her husband’s Allan Roach and Errol Dayman, will be sadly missed by her children Leonard Roach, Lynda Greiner, Cheryl (Bruce) Lattimer, Michael (Beatriz) Roach, Maureen Roach, Ron Roach, and Robbie (Nancy) Roach. Veronica will be cherished by her grandchildren Rebecca (Steve), Veronica (Ross), Joy (Mark), Alison (Jeff), Luke, Christopher, Michael (Kate), Lauren (Cole), Amy, Danny (Sabrina), Stephen (Mel), Erin (EJ), John, Jillian (Marc), and Rock, and by her great grandchildren Mariah, Makenna, Adelyn, Adaora, Scarlett, Victoria, Hudson, Landen, Liam, Faith, Grayson, Wilhelmina, and Isla. Veronica will be lovingly remembered by her sisters Theresa, Doris and Ruth, and by her brother Bill. Veronica is predeceased by her sister Pat, by her brothers Allan and Frank, and by her daughter in law Cathy Roach. Some of Veronica’s life highlights were being the First Lady of Midland and getting to meet the Pope John Paul II during his visit to Midland. Veronica was an avid card player and was always eager to tell a joke. A special thank you to the staff at Georgian Manor – Willow Unit for their exemplary care. Friends will be received at Carson Funeral Homes – JH Lynn Chapel, 290 First Street, Midland (705) 526-6551 on Thursday February 21, 2019 from 6 – 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Margaret’s Roman Catholic Church on Friday at 2 pm. If desired, memorial donations to the Children’s Aid Society would be appreciated by the family.
