RIMAN, Vera
Peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 Vera Joyce went home to be with the Lord. Beloved wife of Leslie Bernard Riman for 76 years. Loving mother of Beverley Barton (John), Lesley Joyce Tennant (Barrie) and Judith Suzanne Van Boven (Michael). Cherished Granny to the late Lori, Pamela, Gerald (Jodi), David (Michelle), James (Jen), Robert, Alex, Whitney (Blake), Curtis, Christopher, Christin (Matt), Bryan (Nicole), Jonathan (Charlotte) and great-grandmother of 12. Predeceased by her brother William Burditt and survived by her sister-in-law Marguerite Burditt. Lifelong member and faithful soldier of the Salvation Army. Vera served her Lord in many capacities, but will be remembered for her Sunday School work, hospital visitations and her contributions as a songster for many years. Vera was a friendly people person who demonstrated her love for God in many practical ways and by influencing those she met by her daily Christian living. Special thanks to Dr. Margaret Goodacre and the nursing staff on Primrose Lane, St. Joseph’s Villa in Dundas. The family appreciate the compassionate and prayerful support of Majors Ken and Beverley Smith, Pastors at The Salvation Army Meadowlands. Friends will be received at The Salvation Army Meadowlands, 187 Stone Church Rd. West, Ancaster on Friday, February 8, 2019 from 3-7 p.m. and Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Private interment will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Salvation Army Meadowland Corps Band or Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
