Vance Kinsbur Cooke
1942-2019
The passing of Vance Kinsbur Cooke, loving husband of Etta Mae
(Leavitt) Cooke, occurred on February 11, 2019 at the Saint John
Regional Hospital with his family at his side. Born in St. George NB
on April 11, 1942, he was a son of the late Arnold and Lois (Seamans)
Cooke. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather,
great-great-grandfather and brother, in addition to his wife Etta, he
is survived by his sons: Jeff (Susan) Cooke of Back Bay NB and Timothy
(Christine) Cooke of Caledonia ON; daughters: Kimberly (Tony) Cooke of
Limekiln NB; Alicia (Danny) Bradley of Pennfield NB, Sherry Lynn
(Robert) Beaumont of Plano TX and Nadine (Bracy) Wilson of Frisco TX;
17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson;
brothers: John (Brenda) Cooke of Deer Island, Burton Cooke of Blacks
Harbour NB and Gerald Cooke of Dorchester NB; sisters: Jean (Clem)
Leavitt of Saint John NB, Sally Barry of St. George NB and Gail
Gaudett of Seeleys Cove NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, Vance was predeceased by brothers: Rufus,
Lawrence, Wendall and Arnold; sisters: Janice Green, Violet Cooke and
Connie McVicar.
Vance was a fisherman by trade who loved being on the water and fished
for both himself and Connors Brothers. He was an avid dart player and
also enjoyed playing cards, especially Cribbage. He loved to keep busy
and loved hand lining for flounder and making wreaths during the
season. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and Sunday
dinners. He was a member of the Sea View Full Gospel Church, Back Bay
NB.

Church, Back Bay NB with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.

as the funeral service date and time will be confirmed at this time.
In Vance’s memory, donations to the Eastern Charlotte Extra Mural
Program, Charlotte County Cancer or to a charity of the donor’s choice
would be appreciated by the family.
