Obituary of Toni Morgan
Peacefully at Rapelje Lodge (Welland), on Friday, February 8, 2019. Oritha (aka,Toni/Tody) Morgan (nee Glassford) passed away at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late James (Jim) Morgan (1988). Mother of Barb (John) Pipes, Bob (Sherry) Morgan and Brad (Lori) Morgan. Grandmother of Susan (Matt) Fulton, Jodi Pipes, Brianne Morgan (Michael Prysiazny), Bryce Morgan. Great grandmother to Abby and Oliva Fulton. Survived by brother, Doug (Pat) Glassford. Predeceased by her parents George and Ethel (Moore) Glassford and her siblings, Iggy, Birdie Burke, Bill, Claude, Ina Brown and Shirley Glassford, as well as her sisters-in-law Agnes Walker, Lila Jackson and Evelyn Busteed. Toni is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Tony was born in Chatham where she and Jim lived much of their lives, though they also spent 16 years in Windsor. In 2008, she re-located to the Fonthill-Welland area to be closer to her family. In addition to her family, Toni enjoyed 5-pin bowling, playing cards and spending her winters in Florida. In 1973, she won the Ontario Ladies Singles 5-pin Championship. For the past three years, Toni has been a resident at Rapelje Lodge in Welland. The family would like to pass on their appreciation to the staff at Rapelje for the care and compassion they have provided during her residency.
Donations in Oritha’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society (Niagara Region), Rapelje Lodge or a charity of your choice.
Toni is coming home. Family and friends will be received at DENNING’S OF CHATHAM (519-352-2390), 4 Victoria Avenue, on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 12 noon until the time of the Celebration of Life Service at 1 pm. Interment to follow in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Online Condolences may be left at www.chathamfuneralhome.ca.
