DOUGLAS, Susannah Ruth:
Former Deputy Reeve and Councillor for Somerville Township and County Councillor for Victoria County. Peacefully at Extendicare Haliburton on Sunday February 17, 2019. Sue was the beloved wife of the late Briar Douglas (1998). Dear mother of Bruce and Steven. Predeceased by her parents Ken and Ivy Martin, her sister Alice and her husband Denzil Kenney, and her brother George Martin. Remembered by her sister in law Carol Martin and several nieces and nephews. Special thank you to the staff at Extendicare Haliburton. A celebration of Sue’s life will take place at Burnt River Community Centre, 16 Somerville Centre Rd, Burnt River on Sunday February 24, 2019 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Interment in the Spring at Burnt River Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Burnt River Fire Fighters Assoc., Breakfast Club at Ridgewood Public School or Victoria County Disaster Trust Fund would be appreciated by the family.
