Peacefully on Monday February 25, 2019 at the Hein House Hospice, Kanata. In the early morning hours Sandy passed away at the early age of 73 years after a diagnosis of lung cancer. Born in Montreal on December 3, 1945. She was a talented child achieving much in the arts with a teaching certificate in music. Trained in Microbiology she worked in clinical diagnostics and was in charge of Microbiology Quality Control at Revlon Canada before retiring to raise her two boys Matthew and Jordan. She travelled extensively with her husband George. Daughter of the late Leon Kostiner she leaves behind her mother Rose, (97 years), also her husband George, her sons Matthew and Jordan, her grandchildren Damian in B.C., Jack and Lucy (Jordan and Kayla) in Carleton Place, Madison and Avery in Napanee. She was an avid Ottawa Sports fan. We are grateful to the Kanata Hospice for the exemplary care and compassion extended to Sandra and her family. Funeral Friday March 1, 2019 at the Cwinn Chapel Jewish Memorial Gardens 6549 Herberts Corners Road-Osgoode at 12 noon. Tribute’s to Sandra may be made to Hospice Ottawa or Ottawa Humane Society. Shiva Sunday March 3rd and Monday March 4th 2:00 – 7:00 pm at 19 Terrace Drive, Ottawa, Ontario.
