Stella M. Keating
1924-2019
Stella M. Keating of Moncton passed away
at her residence on Friday, February 22, 2019 surrounded by family at
the age of 94. Born in Salt Springs, NS on December 4, 1924 she was a
daughter of the late Eldred and Grace (Clarke) Best.
Stella was a member of St. George’s Anglican Church. She
enjoyed spending time with family and was an amazing cook and baker;
she enjoyed listening to music and played several instruments. Among
her favorite pastimes was playing cards with others.
Survived by daughters: Clara Nye (Bill Marshall) of
Riverview, Patsy Maillet (Leo) of Moncton; son, Arnold Keating (Ruth)
of St. John; sister, Lillian Coady of Stellarton, NS; grandchildren:
Maria, Sarah, Adam, Justin, Anthony, Heidi; great-grandchildren:
Rebecca, Blaire and Damien; great- great- granddaughter,
Leah.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by
her husband Arnold Keating in 2011; brothers: Gordon, Ralph, Donald,
Beverly, Keith; sisters: Pearl, Doris and Opal.
In honor of Stella there will not be any visitation or
funeral service held at the funeral home. A private family service and
graveside service will be held in Elmwood Cemetery at a later
date.
Donations in Stella’s memory may be made to the NB Heart and
Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
