It is with heavy hearts, yet knowing she is in the presence
of her loving Saviour Jesus, that the family of Shirley Ethel
Whittaker of Parkland in the Valley, Quispamsis, formerly of Hampton
announce her passing Monday night at Embassy Hall. Born in
Kinnear Settlement, NB, she was a daughter of the late Harry and
Thelma (Murray) Chapman. Shirley is survived by her loving husband of
60 years, Ronald A. Whittaker, also son; John Tremblett (Shari), 2
sisters; Josephine Kiss of Petitcodiac and Anah LeClair of Angus ON
and 2 grandchildren; Josiah and Hannah. Shirley was predeceased by a
son; Stephen Whittaker, 3 sisters; Lois Goddard, Marge Sharpe and
Winnie Misdorf, 3 brothers; Charles, Fred and Ernest
Chapman.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral
Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, where visitation
will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 2-4 & 6-8
pm. A funeral service will be held at Reid’s
Funeral Home Chapel, 2:00 pm Friday, February 8, 2019. Interment will
take place at a later date in the Trinity United Church Cemetery
Havelock, NB.
Donations in Shirley’s memory can be made to the
Alzheimer’s Society. Personal condolences to the family and
