Obituary of Russell O’Toole
O’Toole, Russell Morris James, age 71 of Pictou, died peacefully on Saturday February 16th in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Pictou, he was a son of the late John J. and Sarah Belle Sally (MacMaster) O’Toole and was a member of Stella Maris Parish, Pictou.
He is survived by his brother, John “Brooks” (Karen) O’Toole; nephew, Bruce (Terri); niece, Lisa O’Toole; great niece, Jordan; great nephew, Hunter and former wife Ann Chisholm. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers Ronald and one in infancy. Russell attended schools in Pictou and worked in sales in several stores in Pictou and New Glasgow. He will be missed by his many friends at the Church Street Villa where he lived for 15 years.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 19th from 6-8PM in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral mass will be held in Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Pictou at 11:00AM, Wednesday, February 20th with Father Peter MacDonald officiating. Special thanks to Norma Jean and the doctors and nurses at the IC Unit at the Aberdeen Hospital in New Glasgow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity. www.mclarenfuneral.ca
