Obituary of Roger Williams
WILLIAMS: Roger Francis – A resident of Mitchell’s Bay, and formerly of Chatham, Roger Williams passed away peacefully at his home with his family at his side on Monday, February 25, 2019 at the age of 75.
Born in St. Catharines, Roger was the son of the late Francis and Anne (Sabo) Williams.
Beloved husband to Susan Williams (nee Wright).
Loving father of Jim Williams (Skye) of Mitchell’s Bay, David Williams (Stephanie) of Mitchell’s Bay and Heather Gilbert (Jordan) of Chatham.
Proud Papa to Kale Labadie, David Williams, Jack Williams, Colin Williams, Sage Williams, Bailey Williams, Alice Gilbert and Ella Gilbert.
Roger was the owner/operator of Parkside Restaurant and Cabins of Mitchell’s Bay. He was an avid outdoorsman, never turning down the opportunity to go hunting or fishing. Roger was the Past President of Maple City Golf Course.
A Celebration of Roger’s Life will be held at the McKinlay Reception Centre, 463 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday, March 1, 2019 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm. Cremation has taken place with a private family interment to be held at a later date.
Donations made in memory of Roger to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
Roger wanted to express his sincerest thanks to the caregivers involved in his care: Linda, Shannon, Ashley, Krystal, Daphne and Willie.
