1940-2019
Robert “Bob”
Pardy, 78, of Sackville and formerly of Moncton, NB,
passed away at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Monday, February 25,
2019. He was married to Pat “Pansy” (nee
Wheaton) Pardy, whom he dearly loved. Born in Brigus, NL, on
April 15, 1940, Bob was a son of the late Frederick and Mary (Dalton)
Pardy.
Bob served 25 years with the Royal
Canadian Army (Tank Corps), the Royal Canadian Dragoons, having served
in Germany, Cyprus, Fort Benning, GA, Fort Irwin, California, Resolute
Bay, Ellsmere Island, and other postings in Canada.
Bob leaves to mourn his loving wife, Pat
“Pansy” Pardy, Sackville, his son, Gary, Hamilton, ON; his
step-children, Gordon (Sheila) Wheaton, Amherst, Greg (Tracey)
Wheaton, ON, Teddy (Marilyn) Wheaton, Dorchester, Tracey (Robert)
Wilson, Sackville; step-son-in-law, Terry Partridge, Sackville;
several grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as his
brothers, Ed, NL, Raymond (Birdie), NL, Mike, NL, Fred (Sharon), ON,
sister, Mary (Bryce), ON, and a very special sister, Rose (Mike),
ON.
Besides his parents, Bob was predeceased
by his step-daughter, Sylvia Partridge.
Arrangements for Bob are under the care
and guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70
Bridge Street, Sackville (506-364-1300). A graveside service
will take place in the Sackville Cemetery in the
spring.
