Obituary for Richard “Rick” Roberts
Passed away on February 23, 2019 surrounded by sunshine and prayer. Colleen and their daughters Kari and K.C invite you to visit with them on the evening of Friday, March 8, 2019 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David. St. South, Fergus, and to a Service of Celebration on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, 36 Henderson St, Elora. At that time, we will celebrate Rick’s life with music and song. Naomi and Leyland (Rick’s grandchildren) said goodbye to their Poppa Rick before his passing. Their visit brought him great joy in his final days. At this time they are at their home in California, with their father Sandy (Kari’s husband). Rick and Colleen have kept a Journal of Gratitude, which has grown to many pages. Recorded in it are the names of their many friends, neighbours, caregivers and Rick’s four- legged companion Shadow. Without their support we never could have made this journey. Rick’s charm and quick wit will be missed by those who knew him.
