He went on to pastor churches in Hamburg, New Rochelle, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Hempstead, all in New York and then came back to Canada and pastored in Trenton, Ontario. He was also Interim pastor at several churches during his retirement. Maurice was a skilled musician playing the piano, trumpet, marimba, accordion, Ocarina and the ‘Banjo’ on all his grandchildren! He loved to praise and worship His Lord in song and led his family to faith in Jesus through his loving example. He loved time with his family playing sports (especially golf), games, telling jokes, writing poems and making people laugh. He was a generous, loving soul who, to his family, think of him as their greatest encouragement. The Family would also like to thank the Dunnville Hospital Palliative Care Staff for their kindness and care for our dad. Following a private family committal, visitation will take place Tuesday, February 5th from 12:30 – 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church, 165 Sydney Place, Welland. A Celebration Service of Maurice’s life will follow at 1:00 pm. If desired, donations to Gideons at www.gideons.ca would be appreciative. Online condolences available at www.cudneyfuneralhome.com.
