Reginald John Jackson
August 21, 1942 – February 11, 2019
Died peacefully at H.J. McFarland Memorial Home on Monday February 11th, 2019 after a lengthy illness. Reg Jackson, formerly of Bloomfield, retired OPP Detective Constable who served in the Prince Edward, Orangeville and Port Credit detachments, at the age of 76. Beloved husband for over 52 years of Helen (nee Buder). Loved father of Warren of Bloomfield and Andy and his wife Jennifer of Belleville and proud papa of Curtis and Justin. Missed by his brother-in-law John Buder and his wife Beth and his niece Danielle Findlay. Reg enjoyed fixing cars and tinkering around the house, so much so that his inactivity since his illness began has been a real loss to the local hardware and auto parts shops in The County. A celebration of Reg’s life will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Bloomfield on Thursday February 28th from 2 until 4 p.m. Cremation has taken place. If desired, donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. Cremation arrangements by the Whattam Funeral Home, 33 Main Street, Picton.
