Obituary of Pearl Weatherhead-Thomas
WEATHERHEAD – THOMAS , Pearl, age 95, of Upper Rawdon, passed away peacefully in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. She was a daughter of the late William and Evelyn Wellwood.
Pearl and her first husband, Thomas, owned and operated the Windcrest Motel and Restaurant for many years in Upper Rawdon. One of Pearl’s great loves was St. David’s Anglican Church to which she donated much time and many resources.
Pearl is survived by her husband, Charles, children, Linda (Ld) Schneider and Blaine (Gwen) Weatherhead; step-children Judy (Gary) Thomas, Ronnie (Kathleen) Thomas and Lawrence (Trenia) Thomas; stepdaughter in-law, Enith Thomas, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. sister, Phoebe MacKinnon; many nieces and nephews.
Pearl was predeceased by her first husband, Thomas, three sisters and two brothers.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie.
A graveside interment service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, July 13 at the Upper Rawdon Cemetery followed by a reception at the Rawdon Gold Mines Hall to celebrate Pearl’s life.
