The death of Nancy Elizabeth Southan of Wicklow occurred on Thursday,
February 7, 2019 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Born
November 6, 1947 in Bath, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and
Alma (Kelly) Southan. She was also predeceased by 1 sister, Patricia
Post; 1 nephew Scott Post; 1 sister in law, Jennie Southan; 1 brother
in law, Morty Lloyd.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Hersh; 2
brothers, Lloyd Southan and Bert Southan (Martha); 1 brother in law,
Gerald Post; nieces and nephews, Francie Watson (Tony) their
daughters, Sydney and Sophie, Karen Southan (Donnie Wolverton);
Nicholas Southan (Kathryn) their daughters, Madison and Isabella, Bert
Post, Kelly Clark (Stuart) their children, Mitchell and Jocelyn, Barb
Southan (Randy Hatheway), Holly Green (Rod) their sons, Logan, Zachary
and Jackson; sister in law, Fay Lloyd her children Rikki Balsam (Jeff)
and Yonah Lloyd (Rhonda) and their families in Israel.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207
Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Saturday, February 9, 2019 from
5-8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at
2:00 pm from the Wicklow Baptist Church. Pastor Harold Sparkes will
officiate. The interment will be in the Wicklow Cemetery at later
date. Donations made to the Wicklow Baptist Church would be

    My sincere condolences for your lost. I remember Nancy as a true friend with a keen sense of judgement, always ready to right the ship. Her work ethic was profound, doing the “right” thing no matter what the personal sacrifice was part of her DNA. She will be sadly missed, rest in peace Nancy and thank you for your leadership and integrity.
